The Academy School Year Extension Program
Learning doesn’t have to stop when class is out for the season. At The Academy of Physical and Social Development, we offer an in-person school year extension program to students currently enrolled in our group program as well as others who have interviewed with us.
Summer program sessions are held every weekday and last three hours each. Group sizes are no larger than six students, ensuring that your child receives the direct attention they deserve.
Get to Know Our Summer Team and Summer Content
Our summer staff is comprised of both licensed mental health clinicians as well as interns that specialize in working with children who have diverse social and emotional needs. These individuals will work with your child to help them learn social, conversation, problem solving and self-advocacy skills as well as instill strategies for reducing anxiety, coping with transitions and managing emotions.
At Summer program, your child will participate in games and other activities with other students in a safe, supportive and encouraging space to effectively foster their self-esteem and social skills. Your child will develop rapport and trust with counsellors as well as fellow group members. Our games and activities are structured in a way that allows each child to experience concrete success while having fun.

The extension program is held at The Academy of Physical and Social Development.
Dates: July 1 - July 26, 2024 (* we are closed July 4 & July 5)
Registration: Registration is open for all weeks
Hours: Monday through Friday 9am - Noon
